Junior Graphic Designer (Freelance) – Sacramento/Remote

(10–20 hours/month)

About Us:
We’re a creative, advocacy-focused communications firm looking for a graphic designer with the desire to grow and learn from experienced storytellers. We’re looking for someone who can help maintain and collaborate on the brands, campaigns, and projects for our Northern California agriculture, water and wildlife conservation clients, work seamlessly with our design, strategy, and film team members, and execute projects in a timely manner.

Role Overview:
As our freelance designer, you’ll collaborate with our team on a flexible monthly basis (approximately 10–20 hours per month). Open to discuss scheduling.

Work may include:

  • Layout Design - information/advocacy documents, newsletters, PPTs and various other internal and external communication assets

  • Branding – logo design, brand guidelines, building Adobe Libraries

  • Illustration - icons, infographics, brand elements

  • Maintenance - Updating existing marketing materials like info docs, presentations, posters, Squarespace webpages (coding skills not required, but if you have them let us know)

  • Campaigns - refine and evolve brand/campaign visuals and ensure consistency across platforms

  • Potentially assisting with storyboards and graphic development for film and video projects. (animation skills not required, but if you have them let us know)

  • Work will range from conceptual and creative, to more repetitive editing and production based.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Entry-level or early-career designer with a portfolio that shows creative range

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Strong sense of typography, layout, and color

  • Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

  • Eager to learn and open to feedback

Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience ($35–$50/hr). Additional hours and rate increase opportunities for exceptional performance.
